*      Attendance:

 

-  Poor as Usual, yet a ray of sunshine did appear with a freshman student.  WOO HOO!!!!  Kudos!!!

*      Officer's Report:

 

President’s Report:

Latino Issues will be discussed at our next General Assembly Meeting.  They are Weekly meetings, not BI-WEEKLY meetings.  Come and join us.

 

Vice President’s Report:

            No VP until elections.  Look at the Constitution for Details on VP Role.

 

Secretary Report:

-  Speaker will come for Quincena Latina. 

 

-  We are going to Hold a Dinner after our Quincena Latina Speaker at the Presidential Room, April 11th 8:30pm. 

 

-  Mulberry House has been reserved for our annual Latino Dinner.  Dates to be Announced Soon.

DCGA Community Senators Report:

Nothing to Report.

 

*      Old Business:

 

-  Rafeal Campos came to Denison to speak about his poetry.  He is a great latino poet and a valuable resource to the academic community.  Too bad La Fuerza didn’t get him to come to our meeting.  La Fuerza was represented by Clayuri Parrilla;  if got questions ask her.

 

-  Dance lessons were called for at the last minute because of DISA’s plans were crapped on by awful Ohio people.  We got together a band of rogue students to perform our now world famous dance from “DANCE WITH ME” put together by our resident choreographer Damaris Genao.  We’re representing La Fuerza and Latino Culture at the Mall on Friday Feb. 22nd at 7:30pm.  GO OR ELSE!!!

 

*      New Business:

 

-  Big Red’s Bid Day will have our president Jenny Silva contact Irene Kennedy for future plans.

 

-  La Fuerza Latina is holding elections for DCGA Latino Community Representative Senators.  Those running are Rick Quan, Iris Santiago, and Mateo Zabala.  If you want to run, show up and you can be voted in through write in vote with at least 1 min. speech.  VIVA LA REVOLUCION!!!

 

-  La Fuerza Latina Elections will be coming soon, so read the constitution and find out what you want to do.  Remember, your vote and your participation is required if you want to be heard and allow La Fuerza to Live in the future.

 

-  Little Sibs weekend is this weekend.  Come by from 10am to 2pm on Saturday at Mitchell.  Lazer Tag with kids seems like a fun thing to do so let’s have fun.

 

-  Daniela Montesinos will be speaking about Latino-American Issues and Sexuality on Friday Feb. 22nd at Fellows Rm 423 @ 2:30pm.  Be there, it is really good and a hex on you for not going.

 

-  Next Meeting on Thursday Feb. 28th at 9pm place TBA.
