WELCOME»Thanks to the construction of a 70,000 square foot addition to Denison's athletic complex in 1994, Denison has an ideal training facility for intercollegiate squash. This facility includes the four Castellini Courts which are all international, a 200 meter indoor track, a weight training room with Hammer Strength equipment, and two fitness facilities filled with cardiovascular machines. The team hosts The Denison Open each year (a USSRA event), participates in intercollegiate competition throughout the northeast, usually has a training trip to the West Coast during winter break and involves students from all parts of the United States and from overseas. Denison supports an intercollegiate squash team that grew steadily in the ranks over its first decade of existence. In one five year span, the team moved from #33 to #7 in the country (2000.) In 1997, the Big Red won the Barnaby Trophy for most improved team and was a nominee once again in 2000. Denison has won the Hoehn Cup once and the Summers Cup twice. Big Red Squash has been the finalist in the Summers Cup as well. Should you wish information about Denison, we would appreciate hearing from you.
